07 · Bag Care

Small rituals that buy you years.

№ 01

Let it rest.

A leather bag wants a day off after a long week. Empty it, lift the lining open, leave it in shade. Leather is a living material and it rests the way a violin does.

№ 02

Mind the oils.

Hand cream, sunscreen, fragrance — these are the slow thieves of patina. Allow them to absorb before you handle the bag. Wipe with a dry cotton, never with water.

№ 03

When to bring it in.

Edge whitening, a single loose stitch, the first lightening at the corners. These are early signs, and early is when restoration is most graceful and most affordable.
